Meet the Doctor

Experience and advanced knowledge count when it comes to providing outstanding dental care - and Dr. John Stivers has both. He has been serving patients in the Louisville area for over 40 years; some families even have four generations under his care. They appreciate how Dr. Stivers’ care has kept them healthy and smiling and want the same for their entire family.

To stay abreast of all current dental techniques and technologies, Dr. Stivers attends many hours of continuing education classes each year, taking advanced training in complex restorative and cosmetic treatments. He has studied at such well-regarded institutions as the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, the Hornbrook Group for Cosmetic Dentistry, the Schuster Center for Professional Development, and ProSynergy Dental Communications.

Dr. Stivers is a graduate of the University of Louisville and the Louisville Dental School. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association and a frequent contributor to online dental studies forums such as DentalNexus and The Dental Place.

He’s also part of Touched Twice Ministries, where he provides free dental care to the needy in the Louisville area.

A native of Louisville, Dr. Stivers has been married to his high school sweetheart Donna since before he went to dental school. Donna is the lovely lady with the sweet voice who answers our phone at the office (and yes, she is just as sweet as she sounds.). Dr. Stivers and Donna have two daughters--Mindy and Rebecca-- and two granddaughters--Emma and Gabriela. When he isn’t busy taking dental courses, he is active in his church and writes novels. His first book, The Accidental Hero, was published in 2022.
